The game lets you select from 14 epochs in world history including the Bronze Age, the Renaissance, the Imperial Age, World War II and the Digital Age and establish an empire for the ages. Mastermind a civilization's glorious rise to power in any period of human history, and forge some of the greatest empires the world has ever seen. This game even allows you to engage in multiplayer warfare throughout 500,000 years of history. You can play in empire-building Standard Mode or intense RTS Tournament Mode. The new terrain and graphic enhancements provide realistic environments and bring the game to life. The first of many wonders.

Pros: Great ideas, innovative eras

Cons: Some of it is too familiar feeling, music is mediocre

The Bottom Line: Some pretty neat ideas which led to what is now standard systems.

A fun, good game for the day with some need for improvement

Pros: Fun campaigns, some interesting units, large scale, battles, etc.

Cons: Battles can become too chaotic, AI cheats, can't zoom, cheesy units (future), some features useless

The Bottom Line: I can recommend this game as a great time killer, but since it's old, don't expect too much. It's still fun, though.
