excellent performer

Pros: quick, good paper handling, easy to use

Cons: print is a bit light, but is adjustable. Munches envelopes - curls output, otherwise excellent!

The Bottom Line: Because of the multiple functions, this can replace several desktop stand-alone units, and works well at all tasks except envelopes.

Review: This MFC-8860DN works extremely well. I was able to eliminate my (just died) fax machine plus an old laser printer/sheet scanner with this one machine. Scanner on the laser had just died too when this MFC came up on Craigslist second-hand, so it worked ...

DOES NOT DUPLEX COPY 8860DN

Pros: Except for duplex it works great.

Cons: Deceptive advertising re: duplex copying

Review: Despite the advertising and user guide for model 8860DN the machine does NOT duplex copy without first scanning the papers and then duplex printing. Once you turn on the scanner the bulb stays on for 16 HOURS yes HOURS or you shorten the life again per ...
