My mom got the Nintendo DS in Gold at Christmas 2007 and am enjoying it! The cool thing about it is that you can use it as an alarm clock (even though I use my alarm clock instead of my DS!). Also you can stay in touch with each other via Pictochat. It operates perfectly with the touch of a button. If you're looking for a Christmas gift for someone in 2008, this is the one! But the bad thing is that if you're playing Game Boy games, you can't play them in Multiplayer mode. Other an all, great hand-held game! Rock on, Nintendo!!!
